Bappa Rawal was from Sisodia clan of Rajput, His Ruling Period was 734 -553 AD , He was brave , intelligent , and was beloved by the people of Bharat.

Muslims started attacking India within a few decades of the birth of Islam. In order to face off Muslim invasions across the western and northern borders of Rajputana, Bappa united the smaller states of Ajmer and Jaisalmer to stop the attacks. Bappa Rawal fought and defeated the Arabs in the country and turned the tide for a time being.

बप्पा रावल

बप्पा रावल (शासनकाल 734-753) सिसोदिया राजवंश मेवाड़ का प्रतापी शासक था। [1] उदयपुर (मेवाड़) रियासत की स्थापना आठवीं शताब्दी में सिसोदिया राजपूतों ने की थी। बप्पा रावल को ‘कालभोज’ भी कहा जाता था। जनता ने बप्पा रावल के प्रजासंरक्षण, देशरक्षण आदि कामों से प्रभावित होकरही इसे ‘बापा’ पदवी से विभूषित किया था।
कर्नल टॉड के अनुसार सन 728 ई. में बप्पा रावल ने चित्तौड़गढ़ को राजपूताने पर राज्य करने वाले मौर्य वंश के अंतिम शासक मान मौर्य से छीनकरगुहिलवंशीय राज्य की स्थापना की।

राज्यकाल
महाराणा कुंभा के समय में रचित एकलिंग महात्म्य में किसी प्राचीन ग्रंथ या प्रशस्ति के आधार पर बप्पा रावल का समय संवत 810 (सन 753) ई. दिया है। एक दूसरे एकलिंग माहात्म्य से सिद्ध है कि यह बप्पा रावल के राज्यत्याग का समय था। यदि बप्पा रावल का राज्यकाल 30 साल का रखा जाए तो वह सन 723 के लगभग गद्दी पर बैठा होगा। मेवाड़ में बप्पा रावल से पहलेउसके वंश के कुछ प्रतापी राजा भी हो चुके थे, किंतु बप्पा रावल का व्यक्तित्व उन सब राजाओं से बढ़कर था। उस समय तक चित्तौड़ का मज़बूत दुर्ग मौर्य वंश के राजाओं के हाथ में था। परंपराओं से यह प्रसिद्ध है कि हारीत ऋषि की कृपा से बप्पा ने मानमौर्य को मारकर इस दुर्ग को हस्तगत किया।
टॉड के अनुसार, राजा मान मौर्य का विक्रम संवत 770 (सन 713 ई.) का एक शिलालेख मिला था जो सिद्ध करता है कि बप्पा रावल और मान मौर्य के समय में विशेष अंतर नहीं है।

अरबों का आक्रमण
यह अनुमान है कि बप्पा रावल की विशेष प्रसिद्धि अरबों से सफल युद्ध करने के कारण हुई। सन 712 ई. में बप्पा रावल ने मुहम्मद बिन क़ासिम से सिंधु को जीता। अरबों ने उसके बाद चारों ओरधावे करने शुरू किए। उन्होंने चावड़ों, मौर्यों , सैंधवों, कच्छेल्लोंश् और गुर्जरों को हराया। मारवाड़, मालवा , मेवाड़ , गुजरात आदि सब भूभागों में उनकी सेनाएँ छा गईं। राजस्थान के कुछ महान व्यक्ति जिनमेंविशेष रूप से प्रतिहार सम्राट् नागभट्ट प्रथम और बप्पा रावल के नाम उल्लेख्य हैं। नागभट्ट प्रथम ने अरबों को पश्चिमी राजस्थान और मालवा से मार भगाया। बापा ने यही कार्य मेवाड़ और उसके आसपास के प्रदेश के लिए किया। मौर्य शायद इसी अरब आक्रमणसे जर्जर हो गए हों। बापा ने वह कार्यकिया जो मौर्य करने में असमर्थ थे, औरसाथ ही चित्तौड़ पर भी अधिकार कर लिया। बापा रावल के मुस्लिम देशों परविजय की अनेक दंतकथाएँ अरबों की पराजय की इस सच्ची घटना से उत्पन्न हुई होंगी।

बप्पा रावल के सिक्के
डा. गौरीशंकर हीराचंद ओझा ने अजमेर केसोने के सिक्के को बापा रावल का माना है। इस सिक्के का तोल 115 ग्रेन (65 रत्ती) है। इस सिक्के में सामने की ओरऊपर के हिस्से में माला के नीचे श्री बोप्प लेख है, बाई ओर त्रिशूल है और उसकी दाहिनी तरफ वेदी पर शिवलिंग बना है। इसके दाहिनी ओर नंदी शिवलिंग की ओर मुख किए बैठा है। शिवलिंग और नंदी के नीचे दंडवत्‌ करते हुए एक पुरुष की आकृति है। सिक्के के पीछे की तरफ चमर, सूर्य, और छत्र के चिह्‌न हैं। इनसबके नीचे दाहिनी ओर मुख किए एक गौ खड़ी है और उसी के पास दूध पीता हुआ बछड़ा है। ये सब चिह्न बप्पा रावल की शिवभक्ति और उसके जीवन की कुछ घटनाओंसे संबद्ध हैं।
मृत्यु
बप्पा रावल का देहान्त नागदा में हुआ था। नागदा में उसकी समाधि स्थित है।

History of Rana Amar Singh Mewar in Hindi

*. अमर सिंह मेवाड़ का राणा (1596-1620 ई.) था।
*. वह प्रसिद्ध राणा प्रताप का पुत्र और उत्तराधिकारी था।
*. उसने अपनी स्वतंत्रता के लिए बादशाह अकबर से बहादुरी के साथ युद्ध किया, लेकिन 1599 ई. में वह पराजित हो गया।
*. वह अकबर की परतंत्रता से अपनी मातृभूमि को बचाने में सफल तो नहीं हुआ, लेकिन उसने 1614 ई. तक मुग़लों के विरुद्ध अपनी लड़ाई जारी रखी। मुग़ल साम्राज्य के बढ़ते हुए दबाव और लगातार विफलता के कारण, उसने बादशाह जहाँगीर से सम्मापूर्वक संधि कर ली।
*. जहाँगीर ने मेवाड़ के राणा को मुग़ल दरबार में हाज़िर होने और किसी राजकुमारी को मुग़ल हरम में भेजने की अपमानजनक शर्त नहीं रखी।
*. मेवाड़ और मुग़लों के बीच मित्रता के जो सम्बन्ध स्थापित हो गये थे, वे औरंगज़ेब के समय में उसकी धार्मिक असहिष्णुता की नीति के कारण समाप्त हो गये।

Rana Udai Singh

Despite the defeat of Rana Sangram Singh in the battle of Sikri, the resistance of the Ranas of Mewad to Muslim rule continued for the next 100 years. Rana Sangram Singh’s son, Udai Singh was an infant when his father died after the battle of Sikri.

His uncle tired to kill the child and crown prince Udai Singh. But the supreme sacrifice of his nurse Panna Dai who misled the uncle by offerring her own son for being killed, saved Udai Singh. Udai Singh was brought up secretly till he attained youth. He subsequently defeated his uncle and assumed the throne of Chittod. He continued his father’s legacy of preserving the independence of Chittod from the Muslim invaders. The city of Udaipur in Mewad bears his name.
