Princess of Jaipur – Diya Kumari
Maharaj Kumari Diya Kumari Baiji Lal Sahiba.
She is the daughter of Maharaja Bhawani Singhji and Maharani Shri Padmini Devi Sahiba.
In 1970 the Maharaj Kumari Diya was born. In 1997 she married Narendra Singh Rajawat a courtier in the court of Jaipur. He is the son of Thakur of Kotda a village in Tonk. On November 22, 2002 the Maharaja Bhawani Singh adopted Diya Kumari’s five year old son, Padmanabh Singh, as the Yuvraj of Jaipur.
All About Princess Diya Kumari of Jaipur
She attended Modern School, New Delhi and M.G.D. School Jaipur and later did a decorative Arts course in London. She is currently involved in Tourism, Culture and Educational. From cultural aspects, two Museums; Maharaja Sawai Mansingh II Museum Trust, Jaipur and The Jaigarh Fort, Amber and from educational aspects, managing two schools; The Palace School and Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh School. She is also engaged in the management of their three Palace Hotels; Hotel Rajmahal Palace, Jaipur, Hotel Jaipur House, Mount Abu, Hotel Lal Mahal Palace, Jaipur. The most daunting challenge in front of her is to steer the Maharaja Sawai Mansingh II Trust and Jaigarh Charitable Trust, and make them flourish while opening windows to works of charity and promotion of Arts, Music, Dance and Culture.
